Cater's dream was so funny. The best part about Leona being there for the Hearts dreams is how this serious lion beastman also gets swept up in the madness. TWST Disney references are so fun! I love how there are so many events and small easter eggs. Wonder if they'll also use the 2010 Alice in Wonderland too (I mean, there IS the Jabberwock that can be replaced by Malleus...)
YEAH! TWST is going crazy this January! And it looks like everyone in Heartslabyul is getting a story SSR now, since there's still Riddle's dream too. Or they can make things even crazier and release a Chen'ya card.
Honestly I need the more serious members of the cast (bodyguards Silver and Sebek, Leona the prince and the Shrouds) to address the small problem of Chen'ya casually bypassing the school's magic barrier. Heartslabyul is just like, "Hey Chen'ya, want some tarts?" and completely disregard how you shouldn't even be able to sneak into NRC so easily.
I agree with your theory on Ace's UM, Book 7 is already the longest chapter, and they seem to want to introduce one freshman's UM per book, like how Deuce and Epel got theirs on Books 5 and 6. Also Malleus doesn't seem to know Sebek's Unique Magic yet, so point in favour of that strategy (especially with how Sebek is still perfecting that power and could get hurt, which could cause Malleus to hold back to avoid further injury). It'd also fit with Ace helping us fight Grim, since he was our first friend.
Yup, still mourning dormhead Cater theory. Looks like that guy is and will always be an enigma to us. Funny how not even Leona could differentiate between a clone and the real guy.
Maybe the Diamond Awards could be a reference to Ceter's parents? We think they're bankers, but there could be more to it than we think🤔
THANKS!! Glad you liked my idea for their dynamic! Trey accidentally helping Riddle become a tyrant, only to then try and fix the situation, leading up to the overblot (and all of the stress and trauma the overblot itself caused), while trying to keep averyone safe😭😭😭 It's obvious how he cares about everyone, especially Riddle.
Thank you for sending the pictures from the novel. And yeah, they really do speak for themselves!
Also remember your post about Riddle crying so much that he references that scene in Alice in Wonderland where she almost drowns in her own tears? What about Trey using Doodle Suit to turn all the water into playing cards so he can reach Riddle? Or just a Pirates of the Caribbean reenactment.
if riddle ends up just getting written out of cater's dream world and not appearing as a result of cater being the dorm leader then i'll be literally so sad not just because i want to learn as much about riddle and cater's dynamic as possible, but also. imagine seeing first year riddle with his card suit mark on his cheek 🥺

i really like how canonically yuu is genuinely supportive of grim wanting to be a great mage. if i recall correctly, even character voice lines point this out. and it seems like yuu dotes on grim a lot and defends him too??? yuu even encourages grim's ambitions whenever he declares wanting to be a great mage. and also when he does that boss-henchhuman dynamic. i mean yeah you can interpret it as yuu saying that being condescending and sarcastic as if they're talking to a child saying "when i grow up i want to be famous!" but like. i really think they're genuine when mc loves grim in their own way.
even if grim is usually a menace, he's become like family to yuu.
and i'm pretty sure grim feels the same way.
think about it this way. despite all the mess, all the unpredictability, the danger, and all the drama being in nrc. what's always the constant? yuu goes home at the end of the day to the ramshackle dorm (basically their home at this point considering they slowly but surely fix it up over time) and with who? “the great mage” grim. as the sole outcasts in that academy, they both sleep soundly knowing they will always have each other at the end of the day.

So, here's my crackhead theory: What if Yuu has some type of hidden power sealed inside them that helps them sense when an Overblot is about to happen?
And maybe that's why they keep having dreams about the Great 7 because that hidden power they have is sort of a built-in siren warning them of an upcoming Overblot.
This is probably why Crowley doesn't want to let Yuu leave so soon. He senses that they have some kind of hidden power that hasn't been unlocked yet and needs them to stop the Overblots. Not that that makes him any less of a useless adult.
An since we're told that Yuu is good at swordfighting and playing instruments, what if the moment Yuu unlocks this hidden power, they get to infuse it into their sword or music for combat?
This probably makes no sense but I just thought to share it with you.
Hello Kataba🌺🌷🌻
Honestly, I don’t think it’s a cracked idea as you say. It seems their dreams are kind of a future warning of an OB. Kind of hinting at the dorm involved and then as the blot accumulate, giving clues to the one who will OB.
We kind of see this with Vil, when Yuu and Grim were spying on him because of said visions. They kind of figured out something was wrong. Then in book 7, they had that spell right before Malleus shows up. Something was off and they felt it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Crowley knows or that’s why he summoned them. He did make them a prefect and labeled them as a beast tamer as well 🤔, could be why he doesn’t seem to be in a rush to send them home.
Maybe the Grim OB is his way of making the nrc boys working together to bring Prefect and Grim down? Surely, “killing” them will send the Prefect back to their world 👀 like how they got ran over by a carriage and came to twst?
I would be happy if they got to use powers and weapons. I hope they do.

Rambling about the twst novel
I'm most likely going to be all over the place with my thoughts, to make you aware.
I enjoyed the novel, I see why people like Yuya. At first, I was annoying at him not standing up for himself, not saying he should have fought, just defend himself. However, after reading how he purposely avoided people to not face conflict, my annoyance instantly vanished and understood he doesn't hate conflict, he's terrified by it.
I believe wholeheartedly he has trauma related to fighting in any form, and while continuing towards the novel, I was purposely looking for any sentence to support that theory. His reaction to seeing a fight is a possible trauma response, and as he talks about his past, it's most likely he doesn't remember what caused his hidden trauma and just writes it off as just disliking it.
I see why this Yuu was chosen to be the novel Yuu because of how the school works, a school filled with arrogant and hot headed students vs a student avoiding fights at cost. These students will teach Yuya you can't avoid conflict forever, you will eventually have to face it and reaction to it without cowering or running away. And Yuya will teach the students to solve problems without flying off the handle and think about a solution in a less violent way.
I love Ace apologizing to Yuya for being a jerk and explaining why he acted the way he did which fair. You busted your ass into a school that's almost impossible to enter, and suddenly a magicless human gets in without issue. And another I loved, he understood Yuya's anxious towards fighting and told Yuya to not push himself for Ace's benefit.
The ghosts' participation in the story, explaining what Yuya needs to know and helping the duo by cleaning the school with them or getting the Heartshackle food, watching Yuya and Grim build a friendship with the ghosts.
I like the changes to the storyline (Ace wanting a snack instead of missing dinner, talking to Trey outside instead of the library), and how it flows. You follow behind Yuya's day to day and him learning about the world he found himself in.
Riddle, the boy will pop a blood vein at any damn minute from how pissed he gets. His aggression towards Yuya in the Mirror Chamber, like boy, calm down. And Crowley, you must you gas Yuya up as this outstanding mage, like calm down as well. He's not wrong because Yuya is most likely going to save everyone in the end, but don't tell everyone that right out the gate.
Not going to lie, when Trey told the group about what Riddle's favorite color, I think it was going to say "I don't know" or "I have to ask my mother." But "my mother told I should like green for it's good for my eye sight," made it worse.
Describing the overblot I enjoyed, the blot dripping down and transforming whatever it touched, and the phantom emerging from the overbloter's back.
The sentence on the phantom lifting Riddle up, describing it as lifting up a newborn baby was funny.
Riddle's past made me get more angry with his mother, just give the boy a normal childhood. I believe the education and diet was correct in his mother's actions, but she failed when came to his emotional growth and mental health/maturity.
Children need strictness and freedom. Children need structure and boundaries, but also need space to grow on their own and figure out who they want to be. She didn't even let him have his own favorite color!?!? He's a human being! He's his own person! He's not a cookie cutter! He's not a littler size of his mother!
I honestly want Riddle and his mother to have a healthy relationship. I want him to stand up to her and tell her what she did wrong and have her reflect on her actions and learn to be better moving forward. Riddle's still young, there's plenty of time for her to realize the pain she caused and become better.
But if she can't, I want Riddle to be brave enough to cut content with her because that's a serious risk. When Riddle has a kid, there's a chance his mother will become a great grandmother, maybe doing things she didn't do with Riddle.
However, there's also the chance she will push the same childhood Riddle had onto his kid. She may demand her son to follow in her parenting style, pushing him to harm his kid like she did to him, or even ignoring his authority of a parent and trying to force him to give the kid to her became he doesn't know to raise a child properly.
From how controlling she is, getting immediately angry at her son for making a single request instead of calmly telling him no. Like, is she offended he has his own desires?
"I never asked about the strawberry tart again" and "I learned if I break a rule, even fun will be taken away." Those lines broke my heart. A child shouldn't be scared to ask for something, to have their desires forced to never be expressed.
And yeah, Riddle left the house which could have been dangerous, so he needs a punishment, but the tiny hope of a normal childhood, normalcy, shouldn't have been taken away from him and taught his desires for normalcy was something bad.
It hurts to see how trapped he was, to never be allowed to be his own person, to decide what he wants and what he believes is right.
During the past part, I was remembering the phase, "strict parents make rebellious children." Riddle always followed his mother's demands and never stepped out of line, however, he did rebel against her. He stepped out of that window willingly and did it more than once. He wanted a strawberry tart and he did get it, by going behind her back.
Yeah, he never rebelled against her again, but he still did it which proves the phrase correct.
I love the novel, the difference it had between itself and the game, the slow growth of the characters, the in-depth explanations on Riddle's past. I'm enjoyed i chose the novel, I couldn't stop reading until I finally reached the ed.

So I have a bit of a delusion story that I wanted to share about Ace...
So we know that there are multiple universes for Twisted wonderland (the manga protagonists, novel and game) what if the world is trying to correct its timeline or something so the world is branching out to choose the right Yuu.
So what if Ace already had his UM with him and it could be his ability to copy things copied something or someone's (Malleus) that let him remember things that happened in the past worlds.(Since we do know that UM awakening is related to them overcoming the hardship/practicing a lot and the UM itself is the thing they are good at like with Deuce and his strength(Bet the limit), Cater and him able to act differently(Split Card) etc.)
In the first iteration what if he used to be in RSA student(Ideas from fanart) and Grim destroyed everything(Prologue). Someone (who we can call Mastermind) decided to reverse the students fates and rewound time again and again.
At some point Ace uses his UM to copy the magic and realizes the reversing of time. He tries to do somethings has he does not want to relive the same time over and over again(Since we do know he likes to live his life as he likes which I think was told in the ghost marriage event do correct me if I am wrong).
As he does do it the mastermind realizes that Ace is part of the solution so he takes a way his UM and his memories. But doing so made the UM have an ego and it went in to hiding as it witnessed Ace and everyone going through the loops over and over again.
Thus, after Grim's overblot it and the mastermind realized that everything is over and the UM wanted to go back to Ace but it realized that he was much happier without it which made it sad but it also understood why (this was because Ace is a rational person if he wants to be) so it was going to leave him alone. But it realized that Ace has accumulated a lot of blot because of the previous loops and might have to overblot for any of hope the blot to disappear and Ace to live since the UM is still active.
So, during the RSA vs NRC match it hatches a plan to make Ace overblot.
That is all I have for now. This is so bad but I wanted to share with someone and since you had a lot of theories and stories that really were fun to read I wanted to also share some of my theories and stories. I hope you enjoyed reading it. If you want to use some of the ideas you can.
Once again I really love your theories and stories. I hope to see more of them you ever you post. I am excited for chapter 7 release this February.
Thank you for sharing your theory with me! In all honesty, reading all these Ace theories make me really excites for his arc and I hope Twst can deliver
Thank you so much! I honestly didn't realise I posted theories lmao. I just write about Ace being baby girl and everyone wanting a peice of him lmao! Thank you anyways!

🤡🌞💔, for the fanfic writer asks?
aaaa thank u for the ask, anon!!
🤡 — What's a line, scene, or exchange you've written that made you laugh?
honestly, it was hard to choose between the christmas fic i wrote last year, or the april fools one i posted lately lol but i think the scene that made me laugh the most was from the April Fools Special where the reader gets sold to the vdc twst boys. it was a crack fic written entirely just to mess with you guys and writing it was mainly filled with me maniacally giggling behind the screen at the abomination i was seeing 💀
🌞 — Do you have a preferred time of day to write?
i like to write either when it's late at night (any time after 11pm usually) or around the afternoon times! any moment i catch myself having some alone time are usually when i start writing, and those times always tend to fit the best
💔 — Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?
there are actually two of them! one of them is the fic i wrote with grim about the aftermath of his overblot (based on the fan theory). it's one of my earlier fanfics so the writing style may be a bit different than it is now, but i remember planning it out and Grim's dialogue just breaking me because of how much emotion it had
the other one is the headcanons for how they cope with your death. i full on was sobbing writing this (i mentioned it in the a/n of this fic lmao) because at the time i was going through something similar and needed a way to express all of the emotions—in this way, through writing. their headcanons are in a way personal to me too, so writing it really made me cry a lot lol

Grim from Twisted Wonderland for belch rankings, if you haven't already?
God of Gas / Belch King / Burp Factory / Ye Olde Gasbag / No Thanks / Who?
Tumblr media
I haven't actually done ANY kind of rankings for Grim: nobody has ever asked for him. Now that someone has, I might as well get into the nitty-gritty about my relationship with this little monster, in terms of kinks. The weird thing about Grim is he's one of those cases of a character I SHOULD have a crush on...but I ultimately really don't. Arguably even more than Ruggie or Leona, Grim is the most gluttonous character in the game, CONSTANTLY talking about how hungry he is, largely motivated by his appetite, stealing people's food whenever he gets a chance, and even causing trouble by eating the strange black rocks that are left behind after every Overblot. We can presume that the game will end with Grim turning into the strange beast we see at the start of the game, or such has long been the theory. I wouldn't be surprised if, when in that state, he tries to devour us: that's not even the kinks talking, it just makes logical sense when a character this consistently hungry becomes a giant freaking monster. If characters like Leona and Malleus canonically can eat people whole, why not Grim when he goes berserk? In terms of belching, in particular, what's funny is that Grim is one of (I think) only two characters who CANONICALLY belches in the game. In both the Japanese and English versions, during the Scarabia chapter, Grim lets out a small belch after eating too much at Kalim's party. (The other character is Ace, and that one is kiiiinda cheating, and only present in the official English release.) While that burp isn't very big, you'd think that alone would get him points, and...yeah, it does. Grim being a little gassy guts isn't remotely out of the question. So, why does he rank so low on the list, teetering between the bottom ranks? Well, like I said...I just don't really have a crush on Grim. And I honestly don't completely know why. It isn't because of his animal nature; there are plenty of kitty-cat characters I love that are not too dissimilar to Grim. (I refer you to Salem Saberhagen, for a start.) But for some reason, Grim I think I find more "cute" than truly "appealing." And like I have said before, while the two terms are not mutually exclusive, there IS a difference. A character can be appealing AND cute to me, but the former has to sort of supercede the latter. And Grim doesn't really do that for me. Again, I don't really know why that is with him, and not with other characters, but...(shrugs)...there you have it.

( !spoiler end of chapter 5 and manga! ) Hello! Here's my theory :D, but I maybe thinking it's Crowley who gave the overblot (his unique/ancient magic?) to people ( Also crow/raven is an omen sign in symbolism which makes him more sus. ), here's some foreshadowing i found on the manga? Also, i've made posts about his possible identity What do you think about that?
Tumblr media
So sorry it took me quite awhile to answer, had to arrange my thoughts since this is quite a new part of the "Crowley is the one causing students to OB" theory for me
Also I'll be mentioning Chapter 6 spoilers so read at your own risk
Honestly I didn't know that there were at least hints of it in the manga, because I haven't read it yet so this caught my attention. Also I decided to read some of your posts about Crowley's identity and I find it really interesting, and I would like to add something about that.
So in Chapter 6, it was actually revealed that STYX was anonymously informed by someone to investigate the Overblot cases in NRC
(All translations provided are from Otome Ayui on Youtube)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was also revealed that are only less than 10 students managed to Overblot in NRC in the last 100 years, and now 5 (+1 now since Idia did OB as well but it happened a little later) people overblotted in less than half a year, of course that would seem very suspiscious.
Which now leads to the main point
Tumblr media
So that means that it is most likely possible to cause someone to overblot artificially and it's most likely a type of magic, however we don't know who is the one in possession of said magic (either it's a unique magic, like you mentioned in your ask or a magic that one needs to learn).
As for the case of Crowley, the dude just raises so many suspiscions that I won't even be surprised that he was the one causing all the overblots to begin with, but then again Crowley might have a reason for doing so, and it might be connected to why MC is stuck in Twisted Wonderland and/or Twisted Wonderland's existence in general.
And looking at the picture you sent me here I can see what you're talking about the foreshadowing. With the darkened expressions Grim and Riddle have that is awfully similar to Crowley's face with the mask on, and OB Riddle did have the same darkened expression as well, we can say that Crowley might have connections about the overblots.
ᴬˡˢᵒ ʰᵃᵛᵉ ʸᵒᵘ ᵍᵘʸˢ ᵉᵛᵉʳ ᶦᵐᵃᵍᶦⁿᵉ ʰᵒʷ ᶜʳᵒʷˡᵉʸ ˡᵒᵒᵏˢ ˡᶦᵏᵉ ʷᶦᵗʰᵒᵘᵗ ʰᶦˢ ᵐᵃˢᵏˀ
Overall, your theory is well thought of ☺, really had me using all my braincells out here, even went out of my way to watch translations again because I remembered that causing someone to artificially overblot was mentioned there.
Once again if you have more theories you have in mind or you simply want someone to talk to, you are free to slide into my ask box, but do note that there are times I won't respond quickly due to timezones.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening Everyone!!
Okay so today I rewatched the twisted wonderland op for like 1000 times already and I just notice something on its ending well it's really hard to notice considering it's so fast so I slowed the speed down and take a screenshot on it✋.
‼️SPOILERS FOR PROLOGUE, CHAPTER 5 AND CHAPTER 6‼️
Beware of some Grammatical Errors 👺
This is just some silly theory of mine so don't make a big deal out of it🗿
Okay first we have:
This a book.Yes a book, and as you can see it's open and there's more books beside it , now I'm wondering if this is the same book Crowley used when him and Mc when to library to check on country Mc is from 🧐
Or maybe this could be from future chapters? Like Crowley finally decided to be responsible and do his job to look for our way home?🤨
Tumblr media
Second we have this:
On second clip in the end of the Twst Op Grim was shown I don't have much to say on this one but I feel like the theory about Grim overblottimg might happen in the future but damn if that day ever comes I can't even Imagine on what Mc and others reaction to him heck have you guys even seen the monster that was shown in the early chapters? Like damn bro that gotta be hard to defeat😀🗿.
Tumblr media
On the Third clip we have this one:
A black ink. Yes a black ink that was spilled on the desk/floor etc but what if this "black ink" was not just any ink but it's a blot?, You know what this is just getting more suspicious as I go on 🗿 I mean after Grim was shown the nextclip was a black ink? Could this be perhaps a foreshadow on what will happen in the future? Does the Overblot! Grim theory come true? I'll leave it at that for now.
Tumblr media
On the fourth clip we have:
On the fourth clip the Night raven College campus was shown and you could see that it has no light or whatsoever in it. I don't have anything to say on this one. Though I must say the campus looks more beautiful at night.💝
Tumblr media
On the fifth clip we have:
On the fifth clip Crowley was shown and the freaking irresponsible headmaster was looking at us/screen .
Just like the fourth one I don't have much to say on this one other than the Fcking crow being a huge creep. The first time I saw this clip I got chills💀
Tumblr media
On the sixth clip we have:
On the sixth clip you can see an apple on the floor with a small bite in it. Maybe this one could be a foreshadow on what will/has happened on chapter 5? when Vil tried to poison Neige by giving him a poison apple juice. That's all I can say for this one.
Tumblr media
On the seventh clip we have:
(Honestly this clip is my favorite and it made me even more curious on what will happen on Chapter 7-)
On seventh clip a Spinning wheel with some thorns around it was shown. The first time I saw this I was like "OMG COULD THIS BE A FORESHADOWING FOR THE CHAPTER 7??"🗿 Yes that was my immediate reaction when I saw this. Back to the topic, what I was saying is that, Will the same scene on sleeping beauty where princess Aurora was put to sleep will happen in chapter 7? I mean there's a huge possiblity that It might considering Malleus is slowly coming to realization on how fragile humans are- I mean how y'all seen the ending scene on Chapter 6?? One of malleus lines he said " It breaks easily like a silk thread spun by a Spinning wheel" he said that after his talk with Lilia with how fragile humans are BUT the big question is who will be the one that will be put to sleep ?
My theory is maybe it's Mc/Yuu? I mean we could see how much Mc means to Malleus considering they are the first human whom did not fear him and he also said in one of his voice lines(this one is quite popular)
"You aren't afraid of me, but... I'm starting to become afraid of losing you"(NEKDKSHEKSK) AHEM
That was one of his voice lines and now I'm wondering did something happen in the future that drive him to overblot and put someone to eternal slumber?
Find out in the next chapter🤗
Jkjk but seriously I'm losing my mind just by thinking on what will happen on chapter 7😀✋🗿.
Anyways onto the next and last clip-
Tumblr media
On the last clip we have:
On the last clip Crowley's clothes on the ground was shown. When I saw this I immediately thought "Did something happen to Crowley?" My curiosity just increases when I saw this one it's making me overthink a lot like WHAT THE HECK WILL HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE BRO😭
Aniplex I'm begging you just drop the diasomnia trialer already will you😭🤧
You know what let's just leave it at this for now. I'm getting headache just by Thinking on what will happen in the future chapters😀✋🗿
Tumblr media
That's all I have to share hehehe have a night day or night-

This has been stuck on my mind lately but what do you think would happen after chapter 7?
Will yuu finally go back orrrr they'll get sent to rsa to meet smeggsy genderbent princess- solve more problems for mentally ill/traumatized teens-
-🍵👀 anon (if it's not taken)
I mean 😂 I HOPE Yuu gets to go home (because their friends and family must be worried about them), but as it tends to go in isekai stories, they usually don’t.
I honestly think the story of TWST post-chapter 7 can go on without Yuu being there (like, we could easily see the story through another person’s eyes and not necessarily Yuu’s, like Grim or even a non-character like an omnipotent narrator). I can see why they’re useful to exposit information to (since Yuu knows nothing about TWST), and they definitely serve as an easy person to self-insert as, though.
As often as people joke about Yuu being the TWST boys’ unpaid therapist, I don’t think Yuu actually does much to help them besides tell other kids to beat them up until they calm down. I think most of the change the boys experience post-battle is reliant on self-reflection and making a conscious effort to improve themselves. I see Yuu as more of a catalyst for change, but not an active participant in that change (the boys are provided with actual professional therapy and resources to help them post-OB by the school), and I think this pattern will continue to carry through if Yuu sticks around as the eyes with which we view the story through.
I think a popular theory is that Yuu will go to RSA and help their students, and another one was that Yuu would explore more of Twisted Wonderland. We can probably X out that second theory, since it seems we’re doing that exploration via events (like when we visited the Scalding Sands and now Harveston) and not in the main story. We can probably X out meeting some of the boys’ family too, since that can go hand-in-hand with seeing more of Twisted Wonderland and various hometowns (like Najma).
I can sort of see where people are going with the first theory, though! It’d be interesting to meet new characters, but I don’t think it should be limited to just RSA. I want to see the fabled NRC fourth years come back from their internships and hear their stories, too! If they do go the RSA route 💦 I’m REALLY hoping they don’t keep doing Overblots, because it’ll already be super stale by the time chapter 7 ends. But!! It would be cool if they went in to expand on themes that can’t be covered well with the current NRC boys, though. Since RSA seems to be held up as a shining beacon, maybe the students there feel pressured to be perfect at all times and have to hide how they’re really feeling to save face in public (similar to the struggles depicted in Encanto).
chjsbsjwvwjsn I wish I had more ideas to throw in here, but I’m kind of brain dead at the moment @w@ I hope I did give you some food for thought, though!!

wait. minz. what's bad begining au.
............... well someone has been looking at my masterlist eh~
So, bad beggining au is inspired by a comic/douji/manga/what you may call a sequence of scenes draw by the jp part of the fandom that I found wayyy back, we didn't even knew what overblots were, you could say the concept didn't exist!
This guy made a story/"theory", it showed a what if Crowley didn't gave Grim and the gang a second chance, what if Crowely didn't realy cared in the beggining, so Ace and Deuce were expelled, Grim never became Yuu's roommate, and because Yuu felt so alone, they hadn't the chance to meet the others
In the end the school was a war zone, because nobody reached in and stoped the boys, Yuu found a way to send back in time a letter to Crowley, asking for him to "please don't give up on me, one more chance is all I ask" and that's why he send Yuu and the gang to get that crystal in the beggining
[I was trying to find it again so I could give proper credit, that's why I didn't introduced it yet 😅, but I can't find it if someone has a link please show me! I wanna revisit it too and since you asked 👉👈]
The AU is very similar to that concept for now, but without the time travel letter part
Pure angst or even yandere tendencies here and there
Yuu isn't a student and is pushed around even more by Crowley
Grim is jumping from place to place with a grudge against Yuu, bc he blames them for him not being able to enter NRC
Ace and Deuce were expelled the instant they broke the chandelier
Yuu is so exhausted that they slept trough Malleus introduction and didn't met him that night, so they know only the rumor about Malleus Draconia the dorm leader of Diasonminia, and can pice out things quicker than OG Yuu bc they aren't blind by a growing friendship, making them more cautious in his presence
Ramshackle will be broken during Yuu's stay bc Crowley doesn't pay them and don't plan to fix it either
Yuu is probably bullied by other NRC students, without Ace, Deuce and Grim by their side they are completely alone, the only friends are the 3 ghosts in Ramshackle and even them are mean sometimes
The most difficult task is handling the overblots, since the boys can die if they stay in that form, at least in OG twst, so I'm still thinking what to do, bc Yuu is very hurt in this one, their trust is and will be broken many times, they can't be the therapist or the leading hand in combat at least not without extreme conditions
Chapter 3 would be realy diferent bc Azul will have to elaborate another plan to catch Yuu's attention, no friends for them to care for, and honestly nothing to lose, only their dorm and that's what he wants to gain, he could have Crowley kick Yuu out but let them have this little mercy of the headmaster, he may be a even more incompetent dick in this au but he draws the line on letting the kid sleep in the cold outside
The bad beggining is because of that, it's a really hopeless beginning, not a bad end
And I uped the mean level of the boys bc I just though, why not make a very angst au eh?
Let's not forget RSA in this, bitches like NRC, but worse in my opinion at least, since they will lure yuu in by being nice at first and absolute nightmares after
All in all, Yuu is: Overworked by Crowley and the teachers they use Yuu as a erand child, stressed, bullied, getting the bare minimum of money from Sam, they can't work at mostro louge since Azul doesn't pay his workers, hopeless, broken and depressed
And if you put a sprinkle of Yandere tendencies? In constant danger

Ooh just read ur timeloop theory post and I've always been a fan of the theory, and the details in ur two possibilities sound pretty solid to me, and also allows the story to smoothly continue in a way that let's us explore more of the world and characters. (Like the story would feel complete once chapter 7 is over and we defeat OB Grim, there wouldn't be much for Yuu to do other than going back to their OG world or staying and starting a new adventure). Plus, with the new lore dump from the chapter 6 part 3 release, there's a good chance of the time loop theory acc being true. (I found this theory from twt) but basically, in the new update Idia reveals that in the last 100 years only 10 NRC students have been recorded to OB, and yet in less than a year 5 incident shave taken place. So the theory goes that those 10 OBs from the past r acc from our 5 OB problem children from two previous loops, which was somehow saved into the Shroud system records. Also, another thing I noticed the lines from the beginning have a deeper meaning. We found out that the phantoms have been preserved in ice for centuries, which is likely a reference to "ice that freezes time" line from the prologue. And then it got me thinking of the first line Crowley ever says to us in the game, "my beautiful flower of evil". While blot is a byproduct of excessive magic use and negative emotions, I noticed that the process of OB to phantom is a lot like a flower blooming and how the flower that Crowley mentioned could refer to our 5 problem children, since we know that the phantom will keep consuming energy from the OB person, like the roots of a flower getting their nutrients from the soil, until it has enough and essentially blooms and becomes a complete phantom. I wanna say Grim too but he's a strange case since we don't see a little Grim anywhere with the beast, unless he's already been consumed by the phantom, but I can't help but think that may be bc he's a monster that he OB differently. It's interesting that Grim has eaten 5 little condensed versions OB and is fairly lucid when he isn't in the presence of blot, can't wait till we get more info on him.
[From here!]
Awww thank you!! 🥺🥺🥺 I honestly am proud of that theory, probably my most favorite thing I thought of to this day. I posted it on Twitter as well, and it has slightly more details.
I heard that theory on Twitter as well! It’s the main reason why I reblogged my time loop theory again. XD The idea of Ortho causing a time loop is really interesting, especially because of the reset feature of games. Frankly, though, I don’t think that the “less than 10” overblots in the past 100 years are the boys either who were somehow recorded despite the resets. I think that in such a magical academy where students generally don’t get along, overblots have a pretty good chance of happening compared to the rest of the world.
WAIT A MINUTE 👁👄👁 I LIKE THE ANALOGY YOU MADE ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL FLOWER OF EVIL!!!! That’s so smart actually, that’s really so head in hands. That’s really really likely, and it’s scary to think about because how exactly then is Crowley controlling the circumstances of their blotting? Is it because he does indeed have the ability to reset time? And if he does, does he reset it all so that he can find out how to make these mages overblot?

So I've been wanting to discuss this with someone, and since you asked, here you go lol.
I don't trust Crowley. From the moment we woke up o was like, "this guy brought us here" idk why, maybe it's research maybe it's cause he wants to have some fun, or something I don't understand yet, but I don't trust him. I also think he's responsible for the overblot. He himself was like "in all my years I've never had an overblot in this school" but suddenly there are seven in a row? And I think the one in the dwarf mine was a test to see if we could handle it. (This conspiracy runs deep man!) So my current theory about where chapters are gonna go is the house wardens overblot (which I am not ready for my baby mal Mal to overblot, he deserves better, but that's a tale for another day) then grim will overblot after eating all those stones, then we'll have a chapter where we attempt to solve all the mysteries (before summer vacation I think) and it will take a whole book for dramatic effect, and then in the next book we have to face Crowley and his dastardly plan (fill in the blank here lol)
Anyway, would love other people's thoughts on this. Even if you disagree, I'd love to hear that too. Also, I low-key got self conscious about writing this out, but then I remembered you're part of the fandom lol.
Oh, I think I've heard this theory before. I'm not sure if I believe it though. Yes, I agree Crowley is very sus but I actually like him as a character. If it did happen, I wouldn't be shocked, but if it didn't happen, I wouldn't be surprised either. I am sad that Ignihyde's chapter is ending but at least we get to see lots of Idia and Ortho in the next chapter with how they may or may not have grown! And honestly, I want to see Malleus overblot. Not because I like the trauma in characters although it does make them more interesting, I just want to see Malleus flawed. It's one of the reasons I'm not too fond of him, because like, he doesn't have any major flaws that stick out and make him relatable/pityable(?)/likable? You get what I mean. Anyways, evil Crowley? Cool. Neutral/good Crowley? Also good.

Book 7 & True Love Kiss
One of the main aspects of Sleeping Beauty, besides the sleeping curse, is True Love’s Kiss.
And, let me tell you, I love anything dealing with True Love Kiss. It could be romantic or platonic, does not matter because I will eat it up and ask for more until the end of time. (though the romantic in me loves the romance aspects of it).
So, I’m very curious about how it will be handled in Book 7. We already have Malleus declaring that he will show us the True Happy Ending or Make us The Hero of the Fairy tale.
Which, given the history of how the Great Seven are seen, Makes me wonder who the heroes and the villains will be. Like, will it follow the story as we know it? or will they follow the story as the characters playing the Great Seven? and who will play who? especially since we’ve seen characters like Riddle have both   Protagonist and Antagonist traits.
Now before I ramble off topic more, let’s go back to the main topic. We have know Disney loves using True Love Kiss in their original movies. More recently, we have seen it used in the romantic and platonic sense.
Platonic has been seen in Frozen and Maleficent (live action). So, I’m curious how they will implement it in book 7 and with whom. Most likely, It will be in the platonic sense of course (though I would scream if YN/MC/Yuu got a kiss in any way from any of the twst characters, we know vil did it, please let malleus do it 🙏💕). So, here are my thoughts of who might receive the kiss and who might also give it.
Grim: If Grimm was put to sleep, I feel like it would be YN/MC/Yuu who would wake him up.
YN/MC/Yuu: Honestly, anyone waking them up would be wholesome and sweet. I wouldn’t be surprised if Grimm was the one who did it. I can also see Ace and Deuce doing it as they have such a close relationship with them.
Malleus: Malleus being awoken from a sleep state himself or from a overblot through true love kiss would just make me so happy, He already displays traits of Maleficent and Elsa, so him realizing that someone loves him so would make my heart melt. I can see Lilia being the one to do it given how book 7 began. I think the other two Dia members can do it too. and my shipper heart would adore if Yuu did it.
Silver:  Silver is the obvious one given all the symbolisms he has, but they might not follow that route either given he has symbolisms of prince Philip and the sword that was used to kill maleficent. but if he does fall asleep, I feel as if Lilia or Malleus would wake him up. Lilia being obvious but Malleus also would be a great parallel to the live action movie.
Lilia: Lilia for sure is another that we can see being put to sleep, but the one waking him up? Silver is an obvious choice as well, but so is Malleus. Malleus who care so deeply for Lilia and probably even sees him as a parent figure as well.
Crack theory: imagine if Yuu went around kissing everyone awake? because they are not from twisted wonderland so the curse doesn't work on them so they just wake everyone up with a kiss on the forehead?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HXH my beloved its been so long also yeah I can def agree w you. I kind of think that maybe the so called "reset" between the group will take place somewhere in malleus's chapter but I lean towards malleus's since I feel like his story would be similiar to kalim's and jamil's in the sense that you put down your lenses of seeing those closest to you in some sort of pedestal to see who they truly are and grow together from that, since chapter 5 seems to be all about character/individual growth--I also feel like idia and yuu and grim and ortho have some sort of parallel/foil to one another but i'm getting ahead of myself so we shall just see
Or maybe it could even be after OB grim's or during it but that'd be sad since its heavily implied that the chap OB! Grim takes place in is the final chapter of the main story so-- *sobbing crying wailing*
anyways I can't wait to see what kind of stunt yana will do with the Adeuce+Ramshackle duo since its heavily implied that they're the main players of the story (w Yuu being the one to beat Grim, Grim being the antagonist and Adeuce being Yuu's trump cards) What about your thoughts?
MEGA BRAIN
MEGA BRAIN
MEGA BRAIN
Yuu and Grim being foils for Idia and Ortho just give me soo much life— there's a theory that Ortho OB, and despite the OB boys being alive its stated that the magician usually dies during the process or loses their mind leaving only the phantom.
Ortho died and Idia put him back together—we see the potential for Grim to OB too but there's also a theory that Yuu and Grim OB TOGETHER because the prologue Grim has hands—
I honestly believe that Chap 7 will focus on Sebek and Silver because they are the most ride or die for Malleus with Silver being more laid back.
Rook will have to wait because Sebek's name needs to be cleared.
No bc Sebek's whole life seems to center around Malleus (which leads to mischaracterization) and he only mentions his family in passing—like his father is active in his life and yet he still rags on humans like???? Huh????
Idk why but I heavily believe in Grim OB when he discovers that Yuu will leave and consumes Yuu as a result—his excessive hunger is def a red flag.
I kinda hope that the story continues even after Yuu leaves, the reset could start without Yuu.
However,,,,,,, Ace and Deuce realization that Yuu is closer to finding a way home in Chap 7 could lead to a whole arc in itself— Chap 7 could focus on everyone's slow mourning and Malleus being unable to cope with losing a friend which leads to OB.
Sebek will have to address what it means to be loyal.
Silver might even develop as a result.
I also don't think Chap 5 was handled well by the fandom because the portrayl of feminine coded characters leads to.... UGHHH I'm so frustrated still frustrated with the way people potray Vil.
Just a whole lotta Epel apologists missing the point of what Vil means—
I am not gonna think about it because it'll bleed into a whole ass thing and thats not what this ask is about.
I agree with you on Chap 5 focusing on the characters more and how they've developed, I'm hoping to see Chap 7 pick up on how the cast will cope with Yuu leaving.
I think Chap 6 is more of a test of how far the OB boys have developed since their overblots and whether they'd snap again— basically a deconstruction.
So I can def see Adeuce being the ones to rally the cast up to defeat an OB!Grim and Yuu as a show of how far they've come.

The Villainous Paranoiac Experiences Culture Shock
The Hannya of the Gracey and its Kitsune.
Tricky, cruel, deceptive, jealous, ungrateful.
That’s what you’ve been called ever since Nanji settled. It’s been whispered behind your backs and said outright to your faces.
Ever since Chichiue told you to take a more appropriate form if you both were going to eat dinner properly with the family, and his eyebrows drew down when you stuttered out that you were trying, you were, but Nanji couldn’t change back from the red fox that quailed under the glare of Chichiue’s eagle.
You were sent to their room in the middle of the meal because of that, Asahiko-nii-sama’s exaggerated faces of disgust, Leota-nee-sama’s quiet yet smug vindication and Enji-nii-sama’s open glares of disapproval following you both as you left.
Seven isn’t an…uncommon age for a dæmon to settle. Unusual, to be sure, enough to raise and lower eyebrows, prompt the start of a inquiry before the asker remembers which family they’re about to question.
But it’s just edging into more common for “early bloomers” that it’s usually assumed that you were closer to eight than seven when Nanji did settle. Besides, there are kids out there who have had their dæmons settle at younger ages, after all.
All the studies you’ve read say this phenomenon is near uniformly a result of a traumatic event or hostile living environment. But that’s probably more of a generalization than anything.
Still. At least the names and insults weren’t so bad. They were just words after all.
At least the people using them would steer clear. Keep at least a two foot distance between themselves, the Hannya of the Gracey, and its Kitsune. As though you and Nanji actually had any power to curse anyone with.
At least they wouldn’t try to keep fucking touching your dæmon every five minutes.
So pause. Rewind a bit. You and Nanji and your old middle school crush and his dæmon (who you’ve certainly gotten over, and who does not look any better than he had in middle school now his Sonata has settled, thank you very much) have been transported to another world. This world is called Twisted Wonderland.
The people of this world are soulless assholes.
Because none of them have dæmons.
And the vast majority of them you have met so far are assholes, in some shape or form.
You have yet to ascertain whether the latter is dependent on the former.
And yet they keep acting like normal people in spite of this absence, rather than the traumatized wrecks that are in textbooks in history class, all dead-eyed and unresponsive. So maybe there’s something to the headmaster’s claim that their dæmons are…inside them, somehow.
Though that just gives you the awful mental image of a person lifting a mouse or an insect dæmon to their lips and just…swallowing. Nanji nips your hand for putting that lovely idea in both your heads.
But back to the topic at hand: The people here don’t have dæmons. They have never had dæmons. So it’s understandable that initially all of them don’t quite understand that there’s a difference between them and just another talking animal, like Grim.
That it is NOT OKAY to try to scoop them up or punt them around like they do to Grim (and honestly, you’re not really okay with them doing that to Grim either— it’s why you and Yuuken trade off who has the monster cat perched on their shoulders or in their arms and out of harm’s way whenever you both can). That’s just down to cultural differences. You can understand it, if you cock your head, squint your eyes, and are very, very sleep-deprived.
What is not understandable is the assholes who think it’s hilarious to try to keep touching Sonata and Nanji even after you’ve repeatedly told them “no”.
Some of that might be Nanji’s fault. Though at the time it hadn’t seemed like a bad idea, considering how many curious would-be touchers immediately jerked away and lost interest permanently after he blurted out, “It’s a sex thing!!”
(It’s not exactly a sex thing, more of an intimacy thing at most. But there’s something much more visceral and back-the-fuck-off about “touching a dæmon is like shoving your hands down a stranger’s pants” compared to “touching a dæmon is the realization of a very deep and intimate bond between you and your partner”.)
But of course, many is not all.
And there’s always going to be some assholes who think that seeing how easily they can get away with harassment is a “fun game” rather than a creepy and messed up power play. Just like back home.
Yuuken and Sonata have it much worse than you and Nanji.
You’d thought the muskox form she settled into was noble, dignified, a perfect embodiment of Yuuken’s diligence and strength. (No, it has not made your crush on him worse, shut up.)
The only problem is that a muskox is not as small a creature as a fox. So while you can physically pick up Nanji and move him out of reach if some punks decide they want to cause trouble, poor Sonata has no such defense. She has to move away if they get between her and Yuuken, and their distance limit is so much smaller than your own, and both of them look so trapped—
It surprises everyone but Nanji and yourself when you take a page from Deuce’s book and ball your fist up to punch the asshole trying to bury his hand in the thick fur of Sonata’s flank.
The resulting crack is not from the asshole’s nose breaking, unfortunately.
You haven’t ever really punched anybody before, hadn’t ever been in a situation where you were justified in your retaliation.
Of course you manage to fuck it up on your first try.
Nanji does not thank you for the resulting limp in his one good leg until your hand and his paw heals, even if he understands why you did it. You give him lots of petting in apology, carefully avoiding the spots where his fur is now patchy and the skin is ridged with scars.
(And isn’t that a fun experience, whenever the ex-overblots’ eyes wander over him, catch sight of what they inflicted on you both, and suddenly can’t look at anything else fast enough. None of them have actually, explicitly apologized to either of you for it.)
Yuuken and Sonata hover over you both like concerned mother hens, despite how often and repeatedly you tell them this is not their fault and you’d do it again in a heartbeat. Sonata actually offers to let Nanji ride on her back while he heals.
You try joking you’d get jealous, so it’d be better not to, only for Yuuken to offer to piggyback you around campus as well.
Ace teases you mercilessly for how strangled you sound when you squeak out that that won’t be necessary, and Nanji buries his head under his tail and refuses to come out for the rest of the day.
Deuce is more concerned with teach you how to throw a punch properly, so you don’t hurt yourself next time.
Jack provides Nanji with a smaller version of the splint he sometimes uses if he hurts his paws when in Wolf Mode, which does help a bit, even if it does feel slightly surreal to feel the phantom press of the medical implement on your hand.
Grim delights in setting the assholes on fire whenever they’re within reach. Whether he can get away with it is another factor he doesn’t seem willing to take into consideration.
Crowley scolds him and the rest of Ramshackle by extension for “violent behavior on school premises”, and resorts to subtly threatening to cut off your food money whenever you try to pressure him to actually do something about your harassers, as though it’s somehow your and Yuuken’s faults for having dæmons.
As though it’s Sonata and Nanji’s faults for existing.
You resort to scribbling increasingly insulting caricatures of the stupid birdbrain headmaster for your theory wall to vent your frustration, in absence of any concrete way to get back at him. Nanji chews the cushion in your armchair to near rags as you pin them to the wall with more force than is strictly warranted.
Yuuken and Sonata turn out to be far more proactive than you when it comes to dealing with grudges of this kind.
Or, at least, more willing to go along with plans that allow them to do so.
You know Ace had a hand in it. His brand of vindictiveness and humiliation is pretty distinctive. Ortho is also clearly a culprit, thanks to the technological mishaps that had one of your tormentors in actual tears. From the garish, clashing pink and petty sparkles that have been added to Crowley’s attire, you’re fairly sure Epel was involved too.
Sebek…is a participant you’re on the fence about, for his conflicting claims that it was a childish prank to pull on the bullies and headmaster and that both parties had whatever fate they now suffered coming to them. Even if he wasn’t directly involved, you’re pretty sure he was in on it enough to not spill the details.
But the sudden influx of logs, which would require someone with an above average level of strength and/or the help of an animal that specialized in moving large burdens over distance?
Combined with the fact that Jack and Deuce were as mystified as you, Grim, and Nanji at the results of the prank?
Well, even if Yuuken hadn’t shot you a subtle wink (which most certainly did not have your cheeks heating, no sir) in Ramshackle’s kitchen while the two of you prepared dinner to the sound of Sonata’s quiet laughter, you’re pretty sure you would’ve worked it out sooner or later.
For now, you and Nanji are just glad that they’re both here with you to help navigate this Twisted Wonderland of soulless assholes.
Even if some of them aren’t as bad as the others.
